The 33 ‘window’ cards are symbolic of our ‘inner life’, our feelings, thoughts, memories and ideas. Windows can be viewed as existing between our private selves and the expectations, obligations and possibilities that await us outside. They offer protection whilst also allowing for the emergence of something new and fresh.

The 12 ‘doorway’ cards represent how we express this ‘inner life’ through our creativity, our intuitive awareness. Doorways are the route to different realms, the world outside, and the world beyond.

The cards were created from original paintings on canvas using both a scientific approach to colour, and what could be called intuitive, inspirational insight into the language of colour. They can be used as per the program, or as tools for expression in any way you choose, separately or together, depending on the outcomes you are looking for and how you use them. These will become clearer to you as you use them, particularly if you initially follow the program using this manual. The author’s given meanings are optional and may merely be used to provide some insight into the concepts behind the program. In all activities it is the children’s interpretations that are important.
